about us

About Us

The Grove at Kalnin Leadership Center honors Daniel and Beverley Kalnin, whose vision has been to uplift the numerous ethnic minority tribal peoples of the Golden Triangle region.

The Grove was initially built to provide a high-quality facility to train and equip Christians from the numerous tribal people groups of Southeast Asia. The facility hosts the annual Barefoot Doctors Program and regular pastors’ training seminars.

Our goal is to help you conduct a successful event, which furthers your organization’s vision and mission. Ultimately, we want to see God honored in all we do.

We’ve partnered with groups from within Chiang Mai and across the globe to make well planned, dynamic events that teach, mobilize, and empower teams. To view our Associates, please visit our Resources page.

About Chiang Mai

More than 700 years old, Chiang Mai is Thailand's "Rose of the North" and its second largest city. Chiang Mai is an exquisite tourist destination with a myriad of festivals and cultural traditions, brilliant artisans, and the delightful Lanna-style architecture.

This ancient city features centuries-old pagodas and temples alongside modern convenience stores and five-star hotels. Only a short van ride away you can experience high-impact adventures, such as elephant riding, zip lines, and rafting, or visit a remote tribal village.

Chiang Mai is also home for expatriates from across the globe and headquarters for hundreds of ministry and non-profit organizations. The ethnic tribes are a significant part of the city’s charm and diversity. Many from the ethnic minority tribal community find employment in the markets and restaurants.

About Doi Saket

One of the best aspects of The Grove's location is that it is only 20 kilometers from the center of Chiang Mai, Doi Saket is a growing bedroom community surrounded by rice farms and home to Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna. The quaint main street offers banks, convenience stores, bustling local markets, and a large temple on the hill.

The best part of The Grove’s location is clean air, cooler temperatures, and no traffic noise.
